Abdolreza Kahani

Abdolreza Kahani was born in Nishabur, Iran in 1973. He began his career at a young age as an actor, writer and director of theatre. As a director of several professional plays where he also acted, he became experienced in this field. He holds his B.A. in theatre acting and his M.A. in theatre directing.

Kahani has also worked in television and on scripts of many other directors. He also has participated in many film festivals and won several international awards: Special Jury Award at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2009 for the film “Twenty” / Award of Ecumenical Jury at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2009 for the film “Twenty” / Award of Ecumenical Jury at Thessaloniki Film Festival in 2008 for the film “Over There” / Special Jury Award at Damascus Film Festival in 2009 for the film “Twenty” / Diploma of Honor at Fajr Film Festival in 2009 for the film “Twenty” / Festival Prize at Urban International Film Festival in 2009 for the film “Twenty” / Special Jury Award at Iran Cinema Celebration in 2011 for the film “Absolutely Tame Is a Horse”
