Sara Namjoo

Sara Namjoo was born in a small town in East Iran. Her family encouraged her to write and paint and therefore at the age of 15, she started to paint professionally and even turn to learn Old Iranian paintingsShe went to art university in Tehran to learn miniature, Illuminated manuscript, and Persian carpet designing. Then she got fascinated by animation and got her master’s degree in this field. She made her first short animation film in 2006 and so far she has made 6 short animated films, a television series, and a long animated film, and a short documentary.

Also, she has written many scripts and stories that she could turn into animated films and published books. Another of her favorite things to do is making dolls and handcrafting with cardboard and paper and Iha made some pop-up books which were published eight times in Iran. In recent years, she has worked for children because they are the wisest and the best audience of all, plus they are so passionate about animation and the world of fantasy that she never gets tired of making a peaceful and fictional world for them.
