Vayu is a dual mythical being that gives life as a breeze and takes life away as a storm. In their mourning rituals, the people of South Kurdistan appeal to Vayu, who caused them suffering by taking away one of their great men, to bless them with another. In this ritual, women scratch their faces with their own hands, like plowing land, to be re-fertilized in the process and continue again…

Sina Mohammadi
Sina Mohammadi was born in 1994 in Kurdistan, Iran. He is a director, writer, and researcher. He published three volumes of books from 2011 to 2016 and won the title of the best student at Roshd Exhibition in 2016. Participated in the permanent exhibition Gap Art Slovakia. Winning the best film in the Indie x American festival America’s best EFO experimental film. The best movement and music film at the Loud Soul Festival in Serbia. Attending and screening in 9 other festivals in Spain, Italy, India, Mexico, and England.
