Somewhere in the desert, a little boy is plunged by force into an intimidating and completely foreign new world: the world of camel racing. Will the distant hope of seeing his mother again give him the strength to overcome his fears and find his place in this hostile environment?

Chabname Zariâb was born in Kaboul, Afghanistan. When she was 7 years old she immigrated to France with her parents. She grew up in a very literary family and studied cinema before working in the damage expert assessment field. In 2011, Chabname published her first novel, The Afghan Pianist, laureate of several literary awards, which first was a script for cinema. Then she headed for the writing of a script for a documentary. The Camel Boy  is her latest film.
